If there is one thing I love to do, is to get dressed in a pretty dress and have high tea! It’s the perfect activity to make you feel special and a wonderful way to catch up with your friends over tea and delicious treats.
When Secret Garden Tea Company reached out to me and asked if I would like to come visit with some friends, I didn’t have to think twice! I have never been, but the photos looked amazing and the reviews on google were an indication that it’s one of Vancouver’s finest high tea spots.
The Kerrisdale location is so beautiful! I was surprised to see how big it was and I already started thinking of how perfect it would be to host a bridal or baby shower there! We were seated in a cozy corner near the fireplace and our waitress brought out the tea of our choice right away. You have not tried lavender earl grey tea until you have tried theirs! It was soo good! I bought a couple bags to take home too.
The high tea menu was set, which is fine by me because I don’t think there was one thing I didn’t like! Everything was scrumptious. It arrived in three tiers of goodness, the bottom layer was savoury delights including secret garden egg pinwheels and smoked turkey and house made basil pesto on mini croissants, the second layer was petit scones with the most mouth watering devonshire cream and the third was the perfect amount of petit cakes to finish off your high tea experience. If you are in the Vancouver area or visiting, I highly recommend visiting! Be sure to call ahead and book your table.
I also want to mention that they also offer vegetarian and gluten free high tea so no one in your party will be left out!
I absolutely loved reading about their story and how Secret Garden Tea Company came to be! You can read about it here. Thank you so much for having me! I will certainly be back. xx
